Information Sessions

Earlier this week Ofsted and the Care Quality Commission (CQC) announced a SEND revisit on 23-25 May 2022. You can read their letter here.
The purpose of the visit is to decide whether the local area has made sufficient progress in addressing the areas of significant weakness identified by the previous Ofsted/CQC inspection in December 2018 and detailed in the Written Statement of Action.
We have received lots of emails, messages and phone calls from families asking how to be able to feed into the inspection process. To give you all the information we have about the revisit and answer any questions, we are going to be running 2 information sessions next week to talk through the revisit, what the inspectors are coming for and the different ways that you can share your views and lived experiences. These sessions are happening on
Monday 16th May 13:00-14:00
Tuesday 17th May 19:30-20:30
Parent Carer Forum Devon has already spoken with the lead inspector and will be working with them and the inspection team to ensure parent carer and family voice is part of the revisit.
Whilst the revisit is only a couple of days, the inspection team really want to hear from YOU – the families in Devon who use SEND services across the local area. We are currently finalising the day and time of the online meeting with inspectors. There will also be an online survey from Ofsted and an opportunity to email the team directly should you wish.
Please sign up for one of the Information sessions here
Looking forward to seeing you there!
